(COPY) February 20, 1943 Mr, Walter R. Bracken, Union Pacific Railroad, 714 South 7th Street, Las Yegas, Nevada, Dear Mr. Bracken; I submit herewith information requested by you of Mr. F. o. Case, General Manager of Basic Magnesium, Incorporated, The number of employees now on Basic payroll is 4123. The number of houses heretofore constructed in Basic Townsite by Defense Plant Corporation and now occupied are 1,000 houses Additional housing now under construction, or projected and assigned to various federal agencies for development for early construction are as follows; Under construction - 75 units to accommodate four white families per unit Projected for future constructions 300 units For white families For single white men, dormitory accomodations For negro families For single negro men, dormitory accomodations 175 units 324 units 320 units 200 units Trailer accommodations completed and under construction; In addition to the above there has been constructed a trailer park in which, at the Present time there are installed by Defense Plant Corporation 146 trailers Federal Public gousing authority have recently purchased and are installing in this trailer park 150 trailers There is space in this trailer park for Privately owned trailers and there are now installed 460 trailers
