I agree.WATER SITUATION IN LAS VEGAS Water shortages appear to be general, at this time of year, except In Las Vegas where It Is apparently so plentiful that it Is allowed to ran down the streets, especially in the Hantridge and Mayfair sections# This is a violation of the City Ordinance, which provides a #50 fine or 30 days In Jail for waste of water and damage to city property. We are at present producing more than 15 million gallons dally for use in the olty, a per capita consumption of over 700 gallons per day, Please be sure the water delivered to you is placed to beneficial use, so it will not be necessary to place in effect onerous restrictions# The reason Las Vegas was Milt here in the beginning was because there was a plentiful supply of artesian water available. Through the years we have tried to avoid ? burdensome restrictions, in order to encourage the planting of trees and growing of lawns to make this city attractive to tourists and. to induce people to make their homes here. So please, cooperate, for your own benefit and that of the entire community# A:.M. FORGER Gbnsuax* Managbr JUlJ-O 1947
