JUL, G 1947 Mr. Prank Strong, Chief Industrial Manager Union Pacific Railroad Sixth and Olive Streets Los Angeles, California Dear Prank: You are possibly aware that Carl has left the Chamber to engage in local private industry. Several items of important unfinished business that were in his portfolio, however, he is helping us to carry on, I was talking with him today about the proposed Water District matter. This you will recall you discussed at some length with him during your recent visit in Las Vegas, It is my understanding that you were going to report on this .matter to your Company and then advise the Charnber as to official disposition in the matter. As our Board of Directors is scheduled to hold their regular stated meeting next Monday, July 7th, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you so that I may make a progress report at the forthcoming session. Incidently, this subject is one of very timely importance and in view of the special legislative action taken at the last session of the Nevada lawmakers, designed especially to aid the proposed district project, it behooves us to be moving forward on this very important objective.
