    Statement of Glen Steward I was s it t in g in the lobby of the Company Room ing-house w ith my bro th er Barry Stewart about 9:30 in the morning of Sunday January 12th, 1941 when a man came down the s t a ir s dressed in a p a ir o f d ir t y white ccurdoroys, an o ld faded green coat, almost gray and a d ir t y g ra y hat. He was about 40 years o ld , about 5 f t . 5 in . weighing about 120 lb s . He went r ig h t out the fro n t door and seemed to be in an aw ful hurry. He was gone a l i t t l e w h ile , then came back again , by h im se lf. He ran up s t a ir s and was there ju s t a few minutes and came running down the s t a ir s and out the fro n t door. Sh ortly a f t e r , a student brakeman came down into the lobby and sa id he was in h is room a s le e p and ju s t woke up in time to see th is fe llo w going out the door, and looked over on the d re sse r and saw h is ten d o lla r s in s i lv e r was gone. Then Harry, my b ro th e r, and I took the student brakeman down to the p o lic e sta tio n and gave a d e s c rip tio n o f the man. Engineer.
