Mr. L.R. Los Angeles - April 2, 195^ 80-11 (cc - Mr. Wm. Reinhardt Mr.C. M. Cory ) Referring to your letter of April 1st, your file W-26, to Mr. Reinhardt, copy to me, relative to request of the Recreation Department of the City of Las Vegas to lease part of the land which is under contract of sale to the Las Vegas Valley Water District for a baseball diamond: I have discussed the matter with Mr. Reinhardt, and he has authorized me to suggest that it would be satisfactory if you will request Mr. Cory to prepare a letter license with the City of Las Vegas, or the proper legal entity, granting permission to occupy these premises for recreational purposes, or restricted to a baseball.diamond, as may be desired. The license should describe the premises by metes and bounds, should contain a nominal consideration of $1.00, should contain a provision that it may be terminated on the transfer of the property described therein to the Las Vegas Valley Water District, or any time sooner upon ten days' written notice to the Licensee. It should also provide that the Licensee will remove, at our request, any and all structures or improvements placed upon the licensed premises; and should also contain the customary indemnification provision. I think the letter from Harry Miller, attached to your letter, is satisfactory clearance from the Las Vegas Valley Water District. The preparation of this document should be expedited as I understand the Recreation Department is very anxious to move in on the premises'in question. ? E. Bennett
