PROPOSED ORDINANCE Plumbing Code MINUTES SER VICE & MATERIAL WARRANTS PUBLIC HEARING Vacation of Westwood Drive Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote:Commissioner Whipple, Jarrett and His Honor voting aey; noes, none. Absent:Commissioners Bunker, Peccole. an Ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE PROTECTION OF THE PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY, AND THE EXAMINATION, REGISTRATION, LICENSING OF PERSONS ENGAGED IN THE BUSINESS OF PLUMBING, OR LABORING AT THE TRADE OF PLUMBING: REQUIRING A PERMIT FOR THE INSTALLATION OR ALTERATION OF PLUMBING AND DRAINAGE SYSTEMS: CREATING AN ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE AND A BOARD OF PLUMBER EXAMINERS, AND PRESCRIBING THEIR DUTIES: DEFINING CERTAIN TERMS: ESTABLISHING MINIMUM REGULATIONS FOR THE INSTALLATION, ALTERATION OR REPAIR OF PLUMBING AND DRAINAGE SYSTEMS AND THE INSPECTION THEREOF; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR ITS VIOLATION REPEALING ORDINANCES NO. 476, AND ALL OTHER ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH, was read by title and referred to Commissioners Jarrett and Whipple for recommendation. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time Commissioner Jarrett moved this meeting adjourn. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote; Commissioners Jarrett, Whipple and His Honor voting aey; noes, none. Absent:Commissioners Bunker and Peccole. ATTEST: APPROVED: Las Vegas, Nevada October 15, 1952 A regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas held this 15th day of October, 1952, called to order at the hour of 7:30 P.M. by His Honor Mayor C.D. Baker with the following members present: Mayor C.D. Baker Commissioner Wendell Bunker Commissioner Rex A. Jarrett Commissioner William Peccole Commissioner Reed Whipple City Attorney Howard Cannon City Manager Chet Shelley Asst. City Mgr. Dora Lord City Engineer C.C. Boyer Commissioner Whipple moved the Minutes of October 1 and 6, 1952 be approved by reference and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign same. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote; Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Bunker moved that Service & Material Warrants Nos. 2327 to 2331 in the total amount of $29,574.84 be approved and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign same. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote; Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. This being the time set for the Public Hearing on the vacation of a portion of Westwood Drive extending south from Park Circle to Waldman Drive, His Honor asked if there were any protestants present. No objections were voiced or filed. Thereafter Commissioner Whipple moved the recommendation of the Regional Planning Commission that this street be vacated be approved and the following order of vacation adopted; O R D E R A Petition, dated the 28th day of August, 1952, signed by three (3) freeholders residing in the area affected, having been filed with the Clerk of this Board, petitioning for the vacation of certain streets and parts of streets in Westwood Drive hereinafter described, and said Petition having been by Order of this Board referred to the Planning Commission of the City of Las Vegas for its recommendation in the premises, and said Planning Commission having filed its report, dated August 28, 1952, with this Board approving and recommending said vacation; And this Board, by an order made at its regular meeting held on the 3rd day of September, 1952, set the 15th day of October, 1952, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M. at the Commissioners' Room of the Board of Commissioners, in the War Memorial Building, located at the Northwest Corner of Fifth and Stewart Streets, in the City of Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada, as the time and place for the Public Hearing on said Petition and recommendation, and Ordered the City Clerk to cause the aforesaid streets and parts of streets proposed to be vacated to be posted with a Notice setting forth the time and place of the Public Hearing and the extent of the proposed vacation;
