    PUBLIC HEARING Vacation of Rexford Drive IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the following described portion of street as recorded in Book 4 of Plats, Page 23, in the Clark County Records, to-wit: A portion of Canosa Avenue, as shown by map of Marycrest Estates, on file in Book 4 of Plats, page 23, in the Office of the County Recorder of Clark County, Nevada, and more particularly described as follows, to-wit: Commencing at the West one-quarter (¼) comer of Section 2, T21S, R61E, MDB&M; thence South 0°12'45" East, a distance of 656.83 feet to a point; thence North 89°01'45" East, a distance of 11.63 feet to a point; thence South 0°01'23" West a distance of 84.75 feet to the true point of beginning; thence along a curve to the left, with a central angle of 90°59'38", and a radius of 15.00 feet a distance of 23.82 feet to a point; thence North 89°01'45" East, a distance of of 370.30 feet to a point; thence on a curve with a radius point on the center- line of Canosa Avenue, and concaved to the East, with a central angle of 73°44'23", a radius of 64.35 feet to a point, said point being on the North line of Lot 18, Block E of said Marycrest Estates Subdivision; thence South 89°01'45" West, a distance of 370.82 feet to a point; thence along a curve to the left with a central angle of 89°00'22", and a radius of 15.00 feet, a distance of 23.30 feet to a point; thence North 0°01'23" East, a distance of 90.00 feet to the true point of beginning. Containing 0.502 acres, more or less. be and the same is hereby vacated. ATTEST: APPROVED: City Clerk Mayor Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. This being the time heretofore set for the public hearing on the vacation of the west five feet of Rexford Drive, more particularly described as the east 5 feet of the westerly 165 feet of the NE¼ of the SW¼ of Section 3, T21S, R61E, MDB&M, as shown by map of amended Plats of Beverly Green Tract #2, and designated thereon as the west 5 feet of Rexford Drive; save and except therefrom that portion of Oakey Boulevard previously deeded for road purposes, also that portion of the easterly extension of Weldon Drive, formerly 4th Place and St. Louis Street, respectively, as shown upon said amended plat of Beverly Green Tract #2, the matter was considered by the Board. His Honor asked if there were any objections to this vacation of the west 5 feet of Rexford Drive. There were no objections voiced. Thereafter Commissioner Sharp moved this vacation of the west 5 feet of Rexford Drive be approved and the following Order adopted. ORDER A petition, dated the 29th of March, 1954, signed by four(4) freeholders residing in the area affected, having been filed with the Clerk of this Board, petitioning for the vacation of a portion of REXFORD DRIVE WELDON DRIVE, formerly FOURTH PLACE AND ST LOUIS STREET, and said Petition having been by Order of this Board referred to the Planning Commission of the City of Las Vegas for its recommendation in the premises, and said Planning Commission having filed its report, dated April 7, 1954, with the Board recommending the approval of said vacation; And this Board, by an order made at its regular meeting held on the 19th day of May, 1954, set the 7th day of July, 1954, at the hour of 7:30 P.M. at the Commissioners' Room of the Board of Commissioners, in the City Hall, located at the Northwest corner of 5th and Stewart Streets, in the City of Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada, as the time and place for the Public Hearing on said Petition and recommendation, and ordered the City Clerk to cause the aforesaid portion of streets proposed to be vacated to be posted with a notice setting forth the time and place of the public hearing and the extent of the proposed vacation; And it appearing from the affidavit of Donald H. Brockley and Charles V. Cudney, filed with the Clerk of this Board, that the notice provided for in said order, a copy of which notice is attached to said affidavit, was posted on the 2nd day of June, 1954, in the manner prescribed by said order; And this being the time fixed for the hearing on said Petition for vacation and the recommendation of the Planning Commission thereon, and this Board having heard evidence in support of and there being no opposition to said Petition; And it appearing to the satisfaction of Mayor C. D. Baker and Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple, constituting all members of said Board, and all members voting in favor of said vacation, that the portion of street proposed to be vacated is no longer required for the public use and convenience, that said vacation will inure to the benefit of the City of Las Vegas, and that neither the public nor any person will be materially injured thereby; IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the following described portions of streets as recorded in Book 3 of Plats, Page 24, Clark County Records, to-wit: PARCEL I The East five (5) feet of Rexford Drive as shown on Amended Map of Beverly Green Tract No. 2 recorded in Book 3 of Plats, page 24, from the South line of Oakey Boulevard to the North line of Fourth Place, now known as Weldon Drive. 7-7-54
