Police Department Addition - Final Plans 2. Sewer Plant - Final Plans 3. Rehabilitation Farm - Final Plans 4. Service & Material Warrant No. 6886 - $675.00 3. CANNON, City Attorney of the City of Las Vegas. You and each of you will please take notice that pursuant to a call this day issued by Mayor Baker, a special meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, will be held in the Mayor's Office of the City Hall, 3th and Stewart, on the 31st day of May, 1956, at the hour of 7:30 P.M. to consider the following matters: 1. Police Department Addition - Final Plans 2. Sewer Plant - Final Plans 3. Rehabilitation Farm - Final Plans 4. Service & Material Warrant No. 6886 - $675.00 5. BOOS Las Vegas, Nevada May 31, 1956 (CALL OF SPECIAL MEETING) A special meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada held this 31st day of May, 1956 was called to order at the hour of 7.40 P.M. by Mayor Baker with the following members present: Mayor C. D. Baker Commissioner Wendell Bunker Commissioner E. W. Fountain Commissioner Harris P. Sharp Commissioner Reed Whipple City Manager A. H. Kennedy Administrative Assistant Robert Boos City Engineer George E. Wade City Attorney Howard W. Cannon City Clerk Shirley Ballinger Commissioner Whipple moved that Service & Material Warrant No. 6886 in the total amount of $675.00 be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. At this time the Commission considered the plans for the proposed sewer plant as prepared by Headman, Ferguson and Carolla. Discussion followed. Mayor Baker advised the Commission that Wally White, Nevada State Sanitary Engineer had complimented the City Manager, City Engineer and Consulting Engineer on these plans, and requested that this comment be made a part of the record. Commissioner moved the proposed final plans for the new sewage disposal plant be approved as presented. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioners Whipple moved that bids for the construction of the proposed new sewage dis­posal plant be opened on July 10, 1956, and authorization be granted to advertise for said bids. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none.
