    CHARLESTON INN - Commissioner Moore moved the application of Thomas M. Ulisse, Change of Owner Charleston Inn, 17 W. Charleston for a Retail Restaurant Beverage Liquor license for the third quarter of 1950 be approved pending investigation and recommendation by the Police Department. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. LIQUOR LICENSE APPLICANTS At this time the following investigations conducted by the Police Police Investigations Department on applicants for liquor licenses were read to the Board: Albert Goot PARK MARKET 424 North 5th Retail Beverage Marjorie J. Sima WHITE SPOT CAFE 109 Fremont Retail Rest. Beverage Don Yee ON LUCK CAFE 501 Jackson Retail Rest. Beverage These investigations were ordered filed. LIQUOR LICENSE - Commissioner Bunker moved that pursuant to the favorable recom- Log Cabin Bar mendation of the Police Department the names of the new partners, Albert Mengarelli and Victor R. Havas, Log Cabin Bar, 122 North 1st Street be added to the license. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the follow­ing vote : Commissioners Bunker, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Moore passed his vote. RESOLUTION - Nellis Commissioner Peccole moved the following resolution be accepted amending Air Base Housing the description of the Air Base land, and the Mayor and City Clerk Project authorized to sign same. WHEREAS, the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, on the 7th day of July, 1950, was the owner of certain property under lease to the United States Government for military aviation purposes, and WHEREAS, under provisions of Chapter II of the Charter of the City of Las Vegas,. Nevada, the said City of Las Vegas, Nevada, did, by a resolution passed and adopted by the Mayor and Board of Commissioners on the 7th day of July, 1950, at a regular meeting thereof, convey to the United States Government the above mentioned property, copy of which is attached hereto and by reference made a part hereof to the same extent as if it were set forth herein in full, and WHEREAS, subsequent to the passage and adoption of the above mentioned Resolution an actual field survey was had and it was determined that Exhibit nAn attached to the said Resolution should be amended, and WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board of Commissioners that Exhit it "A" as attached and made a part of the Resolution of July 7, 1950, should be amended to read as shown by Exhibit "A" as attached and made a part of this Resolution. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, that the Exhibit described and known as Exhibit "A" attached to the Resolution passed and adopted by the Mayor and Board of Commissioners and by reference made a part thereof, is hereby amended as indicated by Exhibit "A" attached hereto, which Exhibit is hereby made a part of this Resolution to the same extent as if it were set forth herein in full, the same to be substituted for and take the place of Exhibit "A” as attached to the Resolution dated July 7, 1950. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. STREET NAMES Commissioner Peccole moved the matter of the duplication of street names. in the City of Las Vegas and the City of North Las Vegas, namely Coolidge Street, be referred to the Regional Planning Commission for recommendation. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. PROPOSED ORDINANCE - An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 6, SECTION 5 AND 6 OF Bicycle Regulation THE LAS VEGAS CITY CODE PROVIDING FOR THE REGISTRATION AND OPERATION OF BICYCLES IN THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS AND PROVIDING PENALTY FOR VIOLATION THEREOF, AND TO REPEAL CHAPTER 6, SECTION 8 OF THE LAS VEGAS CITY CODE, was read by title and referred to Commissioners Moore and Whipple for recommendation. PROPOSED ORDINANCE - An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 210 Amendment to Taxicab OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE TO FIX, IMPOSE AND Ordinance PROVIDE FOR THE COLLECTION OF A LICENSE TAX ON MOTOR PROPELLED VEHICLES OPERATED FOR HIRE, AND TO REGULATE THE OPERATION AND RUNNING OF THE SAME, WITHIN THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS: FIXING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF ANY OF THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE; AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 100 AND ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH." ALSO REFERRED TO AS CHAPTER 33, SECTION 2 OF THE LAS VEGAS CITY CODE, AND TO REPEAL SECTION 4 OF ORDINANCE NO. 210, ALSO REFERRED TO AS CHAPTER 33, SECTION 6 OF THE LAS VEGAS CITY CODE, was read by title and referred to Commissioners Bunker and Peccole for recommendation. NEVADA MUNICIPAL ASSN. - At this time the By-Laws of the Nevada Municipal Association were pre- By-Laws Adopted sented to the Board for their consideration. Commissioner Bunker moved the aforementioned By-Laws of the Nevada Municipal Association be adopted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none.
