Water companies or consumers may, upon due notice being given, have meters in stalled , make and size to be approved by municipal authorities, and to be in stalled by the water company at cost, at ex­pense o f party making request or demand for same. Meters to be in­stalled within th irty days from request or demand. Same being placed at least one fo ot inside property lin e at most available rafe place, and to be encased in an approved box or receptacle with cover, a fte r which consumer w ill be held lia b le fo r a ll damage to same. A ll meters shall be properly tested when f i r s t in stalled , and must re g is te r correctly. Water company may at any time test meters at their own expense. Upon demand from a consumer the water company shall test meters of said consumer, and i f same is found to not re g is te r correctly, shall without any unnecessary delay have same fixed , or replaced with a new and properly tested meter,and i f meter is found to register correctly the water company may charge not to exceed one d ollar (#1.00) fo r making said te s t. A ll service pipes from mains to be at least one foot inside property, with proper cut c f f at end, and shall be put in and maintained at expense of water company. fhere may be a charge o f not to exceed fiv e dollars (#5*00) fo r each tapping of water mains. Free Service Water fo r a ll public and a ln ic ip a l buildings and grounds and public parks, fo r flushing o f public sewers, fo r street sprinkling, fo r one public drinking fountain, fo r one public water trough, fo r extinguishment o f fir e s , and fo r f i r e practice or testing f i r e plugs shall be free, provided, however, that there may be a charge agreed upon per each f i r e hydrant o f not to exceed Six Dollars (|6.00) per year, when a minimum pressure of seventy-five pounds per square inch shall be maintained. Application fo r permission to connect to the servers water mains shall be made,in w riting and shall describe the lo t, or lo ts , or fractions o f lo ts fo r which such connection is desired, and sh all state the purpose fo r which such water is to be used, in su fficien t d e ta il so that Ihe server shall be able to ascertain the monthly rat© to be charged fo r such service, and shall state the approximate time when such connection w ill be desired. At the time o f the application the applicant w ill deposit with the server an amount su ffic ie n t to cover the cost o f labor and materials necessary to make such connection, and the server w ill repay the amount so deposited to the user by cred itin g same to the water charges. Rules and Regulations. 1. Water rates shall be due and payable on the f i r s t day o f each month fo r water furnished during the previous month, and shall be delinquent on the 15th. 3. Where two or more services supply the same premises or con­sumer, each w ill be rated as a separate service* 3* Water rates or charges w ill be charged, fo r a ll services whether the premises are occupied or not u n til supply shall be, in Writing, ordered shut o ff, 4. A ll water rates and charges shall be charged against the ppoperty on which i t is furnished, and against the owner thereof, and no change o f ownership or oecupancy w ill a ffe c t the applicant of this ru le. 5. ihe owner of the property on which water is furnished w ill he charged fo r a ll damage done to meters through which such water is furnished, and i f meters are injured or tampered with, the water may be shut o f f , and the service discontinued without notice.
