Other winners in the Sands Hotel sponsored event were, from left, Jim Harp, a space engineer from Canoga Park, Calif., Mrs. Allen Parducci, representing her husband, a UCLA professor from Long Beach, Calif., and Harry Marchment, a technical engineer from Santa Monica, Calif. Twenty boats entered the event and a number of California's top sailors were on hand to observe or compete.
