J. Parker Co. 1 Slot HOTEL EL CORTEZ 6th and Fremont Hotel El Cortez Enterprises 6 Slots FREDERICK'S FINE FOODS 636 North Main Cecil Lynch 1 Slot LAS VEGAS BOWL 1825 L. V. Blvd. South Auto. Amusements 1 Cash Pin Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor Mayor Gragson voting aye; noes, none. GAMING APPLICATION Commissioner Whipple moved the application of James R. and Raymond W. Davis for New license for two slots at Kitty's Truck Stop, 18 Garces Avenue, be approved and the Supervisor of License and Revenue authorized to issue the license. Police report Kitty's Truck Stop was favorable on the applicants. Approved Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor Mayor Gragson voting aye; noes, none. LIQUOR AND GAMING Commissioner Sharp moved the application of Nephi Jensen for a restaurant beverage APPLICATION license and license for four slots at the Wittwer Cafe, 720 North Main, be approved Change of Ownership and the Supervisor of License and Revenue authorized to issue the licenses. Police report was favorable on the applicant. Wittwer Cafe Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Approved Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor Mayor Gragson voting aye; noes, none. LIQUOR APPLICATION Commissioner Sharp moved the application of Sam D. Hecht for 51% interest in the Additional Owner Wholesale Liquor License of the Las Vegas Distributing Company, 215 West Colorado, be approved and the Supervisor of License and Revenue authorized to issue the license. Las Vegas Distr. Co. Police report was favorable on the applicant. Approved Motion seconded by Commissioner Elwell and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor Mayor Gragson voting aye; noes, none. MAYOR PRO TEM Commissioner Sharp moved that Commissioner Reed Whipple be retained as Mayor Pro Tem. Reed Whipple Appointed Motion seconded by Commissioner Elwell and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Gragson voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Whipple passed his vote. COMMISSION MEETINGS Commissioner Whipple moved the regular meetings of the Board of City Commissioners First and Third Wednesday be held the first and third Wednesday of each month. CIGARETTE VENDING The Commission considered the application of Ralph T. Warne, H. O. Hart, Raymond OPERATORS APPLICATION Finn and E. E. Sportsman for a cigarette vending operators license for the Nevada New Vending Machine Company, 8 East Charleston Boulevard. Police report on this application was unfavorable. Nevada Vending Machine Co. Commissioner Sharp asked if Mr. Hart was present as there were some questions they Denied wished to ask him. He asked Mr. Hart if when he talked to him yesterday he stated 7-13-59
