FOSTER; Referring to your letter of February 5th File 75-C, which relates back to my letter of Hovember 13th to Mr.Hutt regarding repair of leaks in new pipe line at Las Vegas, I have to advise that the line is not yet in service. / Following er of November 13th, the pipe company sent a repre'sc to Las Vegas, who was present at the time the- pij bas tested. At that time it developed a number of le the pipe showed evidence of sweating under about 'a € sssure. Sinye that time we have been endeavoring the line and make it serviceable. However, I ac sed that the pipe sold us is merely ordinary sewei lot capable of vdthstandlng a pressure of more thanSLS^ and should not be used as a pressure line in\ any case. a guarantee that it would withstand 30 pound working pressure and I am convinced that we have been furnished an article very much inferior to that which we expefcted to obtain. / You will recall this pipe was purchased under Yours truly, Chief Engineer a m /c r g
