Greenspun . being first duly sworn, deposes and says: That he is Publisher of the LAS VEGAS MORNING SUN, a daily newspaper,of general circulation, printed and published at Las Vegas, in the County of Clark, State of Nevada, and that the attached was continuously published in said newspaper for a period of two weeks from March 12. 1952 to March 19. 1952 inclusive, being the issues of said newspaper for the following dates, to-wit: March 12. 19. 1952. ORDINANCE NO. 482 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND EMERGENCY ORDINANCE NO. 468 ENTITLED: "AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAS VEG­AS, COUNTY OF CLARK, STATE OF NEVADA, CREATING AND ESTABLISHING CIVIL SERVICE RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE EMPLOYEES OF SAID CITY, DEFINING TERMS; PROVIDING FOR EXAMINATION; ESTABLISHING ELIGIBILITY LISTS; PRO­VIDING FOR APPOINTMENTS; PROMOTION; DISCIPLINARY ACTION; REPORTS AND RECORDS; CLASSIFICATION AND PAY PLANS; AND ALL MATTERS RELATING THERETO; AND REPEALING ORDINANCE 391 AND ALL OTHER ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDIN­ANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH." BY CHANGING THE PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANTS FOR POLICE AND FIRE DE­PARTMENTS OF. THE CITY; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH. The Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas does ordain as follows: Section 1. Section IV, Paragraph I, Subparagraph 8 of the Civil Service Rules and Regulations of the City of Las Vegas is hereby amended to read as follows: Male applicants shall possess a minimum height of 5 feet 9 inches with a minimum weight of 160 pounds, Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith, are hereby repealed. Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its publication as in the next section provided, and final passage. Section 4. The City Clerk and Clerk of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas shall cause this ordinance to be published once a week for two successive weeks immediately following its first reading and adoption in the Las Vegas Review Journal, a daily newspaper published in the City of Las Vegas. Baker Mayor ATTEST: s/ Shirley Ballinger City Clerk The above and foregoing ordinance was first proposed and read by title to the Board of Commis­sioners on the 27th day of February, 1952, and referred to the following committee composed of Commission­ers Bunker and Jarrett for recommendation; thereafter the said committee reported favorably on said ordin­ance on the 5th day of March, 1952, which was the regular meeting of said Board of City Commissioners, that at said regular meeting held on the 5th day of March, 1952, the proposed ordinance was read in full to the Board of Commissioners as first introduced and adopted by the following vote: Those voting "Aye": Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett.
