I agree.12/22/72 BLUEBELL BEAUTIES IN STARDUST SPECTACULAR LAS VEGAS--For the past 38 years, more than 6,000 of the most beautiful and talented dancers and showgirls i.n the world have carried the name "Bluebell" with pride and grace. A bevy of the lovely Bluebells will be on stage at the Cafe Continental when the all-new 10th edition of Lido de Paris premieres at the Stardust Hotel, Dec. 28. Their namesake, Madame Bluebell, was affectionately nicknamed shortly after her birth when her family's doctor looked into her beautiful blue eyes and called her "Bluebell." For many years, the famous name has been revered in every corner of the world. Having begun ballet training at a very early age to strengthen her delicate body, Madame Bluebell travelled throughout Europe with an English ballet troupe when she was only 16. Before her 20th birthday, she had been a featured dancer with the Folies Bergere in Paris, the line captain for the Folies dancers, and was then commissioned by Folies management to assemble and train a group of dancers to be known as Bluebell Girls. When the Lido in Paris opened after the war, Madame Bluebell's covey of French beauties brought instant accolades to the famed revue, which was conceived by Pierre Louis-Guerin and Rene Fraday. -21-
