It was an ex-cellent talk, well worth hearing. We ex- j tend thanks. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * DEMOTION NEXT The "Last Mile" committee, headed by ! former President Lorin Ronnow (who man-aged to survive his own demotion) an- i nounces that all the instruments of tor-ture are in condition to deliver a very horrid demotion to President Leonard next ' Thursday evening, June 39th. In order to get out of hearing of the officers of the law and prevent interfer-ence from that source, the place for the orgies has been chosen at Mr. P. J. Goumond's beautiful Tule Springs Ranch: the time, 7:30 p.m. Of course, all members of this Rotary Club, accompanied by their Rotary ! Anns, will be present. Should any member i desire to bring other guests, please noti-; fy Secretary Harry Allen so that arrange- ; ments can be made to care for them. Aside from the demotion, the commit-tee promises a very gay time. Don't miss the Gorgeous Feed! * * * * * * * * * * * * * DISTRICT ASSEMBLY All Committee Chairmen should accom-pany President Allye and Secretary to the District Assembly next July 13 and 14* The District Governor is making an urgent request that all who can possibly do so, attend the Assembly, which will be the basis for good Rotary work the coming year. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * WAS OUR GUEST Among our guests last week was Miss Lillian Lane, nho so nicely mimeographs each issue of this "Wheel of Rotary" and provides the clever illustrations whenever the Editor leaves room for any. ALLYE IN DETROIT President-Elect Allye flew to De-troit to represent Las Vegas Rotary Club at the great Convention of Rotary Inter-national He plans to return home driving a new automo-bile in time for the demotion and his own inauguration. With him rrill come our friend Thirsty Harsh-man of Glendale Rotary, former Governor of Dis-trict 160, nho may be able to assist in the Demotion. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * AT SHRINSRS' CONVENTION President Leonard, with several other members of Las Vegas Rotary, is in Los Angeles in attendance at the Shrin-ers' Annual Convention. Both the boys, as well as the Amer-ican Legion, have written letters of thanks and appreciation to this Club. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * "SCOOTER COLUMN" It has been suggested by this edi-tor that The Wheel institute a "Scooter Column" to contain the names of those who each week sneak away from the Rotary meeting when the program begins.
