I agree.Los Angeles, January 10, 1951 20—334—4 Mr. R. L. Adamson: Your letter of December 20th file 7334 relative contamination of water from the Big Spring at Las Vegas: We have dragged a large quantity of roots out of the pipe line from this spring to the settling basin* In order to do this it was necessary to break the pipe line. Very possible the contamination came from these roots or seepage through the Joints of the pipe. It may be necessary to pump the spring reservoir in order to clean up the contamination* While the spring has been chlorinated there may be some contamination in the corners of the reservoir at the spring. Water Service forces are still working on this Job. M:B . P. Mac
