    54. 8.5 Allocation of Water for Future Consumption from Various Sources of Supply - Since the supply of •water from the artesian basin is apparently fixed, all additional water required must come from Lake Mead. "Used water" or treated sewage can be used to supply a portion of the irrigation requirements. The allocation of water from various sources is given in Table 5. This table shows that the artesian supply remains constant at 31.3 MUD but that the Paradise Valley consumption therefrom decreases. This permits alloca­tion of increased amounts of artesian water to the Tule Springs Area and to the Air Force Base. Of the 31.3 MUD available from the artesian basin, about 10.6 MUD is now available through the existing public water supplies of the urban area. All other available underground water is now used, and will probably continue to be used, by owners of private wells. It is assumed that the "domestic" requirements of the Henderson Area may be supplied by the Water District but that the facilities of BMI will be used therefor. The total estimated quantities of Lake Mead water to be supplied by the District are given in Table 6, which shows the follow­ing:
