2- In accordance with your suggestion, 1 discus sect the subject with Harry Jameson, local representative of the State Engineer, who stated his department is not concerned with water rates, but is very much interested in the subject of wasting of water from the underground channel. He suggested we might assume some control over water used in private swim- ming pools by limiting the else of the outlet and agreed that where a recirculating system is used the amount of water consumed is praetically negligible! however, he concurred in the thought that after the service is once established the consumer could abandon the circulating system and fill the pool at night direct from the water mains and this would be a difficult thing for the Water Company to detect# Will appreciate your further consideration of the recommended $10.00 flat rate for private swimming pools, which X feel would be approved by the Commission, leaving the present $30*00 rate for commercial pools to remain in effect# -2-*
