Est. 1888 "Pzazz 7Q and All ThqtJ azz" H LAS VEGAS, Nevada ?╟÷ Completely new innovations; J in costume design will be re-j _vealed when the Desert Inni unveils its new musical super- spectacular "Pzazz '70 and All That Jazz, Baby" on July 10. Thousands of yards of fabric ranging from traditinal weaves of silks, satins and velvets to the excitig new vinyls, metal cloths and Cellophane' synthetics have been used by designer Bill Campbell to develop a post - contemporary look in both the couturiere and theatrical sense. See- through fabrics have never been more daringly employed. Feathers, too! Campbell tied up the entire New York market to find enough of the rare quality pheasant feathers used in "Pzazz 70" and then had to 06 directly to the source in South Africa to get the particular kind of ostrict trim required for the extravaganza's finale. But because each member of the cast had been signed by Frank Sennes and Donn Arden for their attractiveness,, musical background, whether vocally or instrumentally, their dancing style or form oi comedy, every member of thej cast not only had to be person-] ally measured for their costumes but also had to be photographed in color in order to have the Campbell designs reflect both the artist's physical appearance and personality. The physical types varied so much that it became necessary to biograph each person and part so that the costumes could be designed to totally project their roles. No other nightclub production of the magniture of "Pzazz '70" has ever exercised such meticulous care to showcase tjae talents of its per- forjjd^rs. y Jazz" is in rehearsal at thef Desert Inn and is expected toj open in the Crystal Room} sometime this month.
