    AKATEEN REPORTThe young ladies have been quite busy. These are there accomplishments for April, and aspirations for May.April:1. ) Community Service Project:Participated in a can food drive, in which we donated the items to the New Bethel Baptist Church
    2.
    ) Meetings:
    Hosted two, in which we discussed plans for upcoming events, community service projects, and workshops.
    May:

    ) Community Service Project:
    The Unityfest Committee has tentatively scheduled a joint project to include all of the Youth groups, for May 18th. Details to be forwarded later.
    2.
    ) Social Event:
    The Unityfest is scheduled for May 25th @ 5p.m. @ the Artemis Ham Hall on the UNLV Campus. Tickets are on sale for $16.00; $20.50 at the door. Soror Amanda McWilliams will be the judge. Thanks to Soror Brenda Dumas, the ladies have been able to hold step practice at the Palo Verde High School cafeteria.

    ) Fundraising Project:
    Held a Car wash on May 5th @ the Texaco station on the comer of Martin Luther King & Alexander. The girls were able to raise $200.00 to offset costs for the Community service projects, and to subsidize miscellaneous costs for the Step show.
    4.
    ) Meetings:
    General meeting on May 26th at 3:30 p.m. @ the West Las Vegas Library. We will outline our activities for June.
    In the works: A Senior banquet - tentatively scheduled for the last weekend in June; Community service project - June 1st, two of the young ladies will be sitting on a teen panel for the Teen talk, A’z*> Soror Tina has more details. We will take the month of July off and resume activities in August.

    Theta Theta Omega Chapter* of Alpha kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Executive Board Meeting/ Hodegos Report January 16, 2002As Hodegos,went to visit Soror Greta Mills; who ^recovering from double knee surgery on Tuesday, January 8,2002. She was presented with another card and a get- well plant from the sorority. Due tojhe length of her recovery, Tam asking sorors j especially the officers to make contact of some kind. She is feeling very alone.A card was sent to the family of Soror Patti Hester in Colorado from the sorority. J plan to present Soror Patti with a small plant upon her return to the city.I am assisting the Founder’s Day Committee with the final arrangements of the activities that are scheduled. All assignments •frorn^have been accomplished.The Hospitality Committee met earlier this evening to establish assignments for each committee member for the year.Submitted by: Soror Ethel Archibald
    AKATEEN REPORT
    AKATeens are currently practicing routines to perform in the MLK parade. The ladies also recently served as hostesses at the DooLittle Community Center closing this past weekend.
    The ladies had their Christmas party at the home of Soror Donnyss Rucker on December 15th. We were joined by the gentleman of the Kappa League. The two groups decided at that time that they would like to collaborate on future community service programs and workshops.
    Several of the ladies will be attending the performance of the Alvin Ailey Dance troop on Jamuary 26*.
    All of the officers have been elected and committees have been formed. Committee meetings have already started and lots of plans are being made for the upcoming year..
