LIQUOR APPLICATIONS Commissioner Whipple moved the liquor application of Desert Distributing Co., Herman 1st Qtr. 1954 Lerch and Matthew Matonovich, 1405 Industrial Road, formerly at 722 North Main, for Desert Distributing Co. a wholesale and Importers Beverage license be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. PERMIT FROM STATE The permit from the State Highway Department for right of way in various sections HIGHWAY DEPT. RECEIVED of the City to install and maintain sewer lines was received and filed. ORDINANCE NO. 586 At this time Commissioners Bunker and Jarrett members of the committee for recommendation Liquor Amendment (Pop) on the proposed ordinance for Liquor Amendment (Population) reported favorably. Thereafter an ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 555 BY PROVIDING A NEW BASIS OF POPULATION FOR THE ISSUANCE OF TAVERN LIQUOR, RETAIL LIQUOR, AND CLUB LIQUOR LICENSES; PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THERETO; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, was read in full to the Board. Commissioner Jarrett moved the above entitled Ordinance No. 586 be adopted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. ORDINANCE NO. 587 At this time Commissioners Sharp and Whipple members of the committee for recommendation Rezoning on the proposed Rezoning Ordinance reported favorably. Thereafter an Ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION IV OF ORDINANCE NO. 378 REFERRED TO AS SECTION 10, CHAPTER 24, OF THE LAS VEGAS CITY CODE, 1949, BY AMENDING THE LAND USE PLAN MAP ADOPTED BY THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, AND CHANGING THE ZONE DESI­GNATION OF CERTAIN AREAS ON THE SAID MAP, was read in full to the Board. PROPOSED ORDINANCE The proposed amendment to the Licensing Ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND Licensing Amendment SECTION 17, CHAPTER 17, CODE OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, 1949, ALSO KNOWN AS SECTION 3, ORDINANCE NO. 349, BY PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY FOR LATE PAYMENT OF LICENSE FEES; PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THEHETO; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, was read by title to the Board and referred to Commissioners Sharp and Whipple for study and recommendation.
