Montgomery 15 North Oakland Dear Mr. Campbell: Pasadena, California) Referring to your letter dated April 15, 1954, with which you enclosed copy of Mr. J. M, Montgomery's letter to you of April 13th with reference to increasing the water production by Las Vegas Land and Water Company at Las Vegas, Nevada, by drilling two additional 16 inch wells and changing the pump on well No. 11. It is noted Mr. Montgpmeiy's estimated cost for this work is $83,560 but after conferring with him fully in the matter, he agreed the total estimated cost should be $107,400 as per detailed estimate attached. I am furnishing Mr. Montgomery a copy of this letter, together with estimate, so that he can confirm to you direct this revised total estimated cost and would appreciate your advising me as quickly as possible that the Water District is agreeable to LVL&WCo. incurring this revised total estimated expenditure and add it to the agreed basic purchase price pursuant to provisions of Paragraph (A) of Section 9 of the Purchase Contract entered into between Las Vegas Land and Water Company and Las Vegas Valley Water District dated June 1, 1953. For your information, we have already requested Executive approval of this work and we are arranging to obtain at once bids from three contractors to drill the wells} also we are obtaining proposals covering the furnishings and installing the pumping equipment.
