S m m / i i .. . f te r B -j * 8 Water Supply: lias Vegas, Oct. 27, 1936. W 23-3-5 Mr. F. H. Knickerbocker, General Manager, Los Angeles, C alifornia. Dear S ir: Referring to your le tte r of October 24, 1936, quoting part of Mr. J e ffe rs’ le tte r regarding the effect the d r illin g of new w ell and replacement of wood stave pipe lin e w ill have on our revenues and expenses: Revenues A comparison of services during September 1935 and September 1936 develops there has been a substantial increase in domestic services with a small decrease in non permanent business. As called to your attention in my le tte r of Oct. 8, 1936, the lo ss of the wholesale account with the Boulder Dam Syndicate resulted in a reduction of revenue of $148.30, although the decrease in revenue from a l l sources was only $104.90, resulting in an increase from other sources of $43.40 for September 1936 or $520.80 per year. As a resu lt of Federal loans and a general building program, our records show now that there w ill be added to our account during October and November charges for 23 new residences at a revenue of /$45.50 per month or $546.00 per year. therefore the / total increase over September 1935 in November 1936 w ill | amount to $1066.80 annually. There is s t i l l a large amount of building being planned but it would be almost impossible to estimate the potential revenue u n til plans are in a more defin ite state. Due to complaints to the Public Service Commission from residents in the Boulder Addition, there is some p o s s ib ility of the Las Vegas Land and Water Company regaining the Boulder Dam Syndicate wholesale account. At the present time consumers in one section o f th is addition have requested that they be permitted to connect to our lin e s.
