Cory: cot Mr. Paul Harrison In connection with the coming bond election, we are endeavoring to develop some facts to be fed to the publicity agent employed by the District if they ever get around to employing one, I wish you would go down and see Harry Jameson and get all the Information he has on the Strip Hotel wells. I would like for each individual hotel, the number of wells they have, the depth, the production level and the decrease In the water level. This latter Information should be broken down between the annual decrease from the time the wells were drilled and the abnormal decrease, for example, January over June, It Is quite possible with respect to the Sands and Sahara, you can not get all Of this information but I think Mr. Jameson will have a lot of it and possibly he can cooperate with you in getting it from the hotels through their hotel engineer or whoever is in charge of the wells as I have no doubt they keep some record of the decrease in the water levels. In addition, I understand that Henderson has a cer­tain allotment of water from Lake Mead through some arrange­ment either with Basie Management, Inc. or some other agency. They are beginning to worry about that allotment not being large enough to take care of the Chamber of Commerce optim­istic views of the growth of the city and possibly they would be willing to turn that allotment over to the Water District if the Water District would agree to take care of their demands This, of course, would be a selling point for Henderson in connection with the bond election. I do not know how you can develop this information but I presume someone in Henderson or someone in Basic Management, Inc. could furnish this infor­mation to you. Also, you might ascertain if Harry Jameson has my information about the situation in North Las Vegas, the number of their wells, the dropping water level, production and con­sumption. I understand they are planning to make a large expenditure of money to take care of the anticipated increased
