These three applications, W 2 3-I-89, W 23-1-101 and W 23-1-109, were previously held up pending a decision by the Board of Directors regarding policy on making extensions by competitive bidding. At the adjourned meeting of the Board held yesterday, October 22, it was decided that competitive bids would be required for future extensions of the water system. However, the three subject applications are already under contract and work . has started on the pipe lines. The Board therefore decided that, subject to our approval of the contract prices, the projects should be allowed to proceed. The contract prices have been checked by this office and have been found to be reasonable. J 10/26/53 Drawings relative to above projects and Detail of Estimated Expenditures returned to JM M this date. District already has copies of same in District's file . Along with this letter, said drawings and Details were forwarded, apparently inadvertently, and TA C returned same this date. Very truly yours JMM:mg Enclosures
