Las Vegas - May 22, 1953 oes Mr. L. M. Layne - Las Vegas Mr, J, W. p&dden * Los Angeles Mr, A. J. Samson, Agent, of the Hallway Express Agency, locate at 301 North Main Street, called this morning stating that he would like to hare his lease extended fro® the present southerly line to Join the northerly line of Mr, Cashmants lease, which my map indicates to be 100 ft, northerly from the north line of roadway to freight house. He would also like to hare the northerly line of his lease extended northerly to provide 25 ft. roadway from Main Street along the north side of his present building to the westerly line of his lease, which I understand is lho ft. from the present north line of lain Street. Mr. Samson states that he needs this additional area to manipulate ids trucks and to provide access for his trucking operations to the Union Pacific Freight Mouse area without driving out Into Main Street, This trucking operation has previously out across the area which is now leased to Mr. Oasissan. Mr. Samson also advised that he would like to have some of the existing trees, located in the vicinity of his lease, out down, x told him that if this was done, he would probably have to cut them down at his own expense, which he seemed agreeable to do providing he had & lease on area now occupied by the trees. Mr. Senaon1a request seems reasonable, and X see no objection to granting him a lease on additional area requested. Mi*« W. H. Johnson — Los Angeles LHK/dm L. R, Maag
