Joseph Teichman, Rabbi Sam Silverberg, Cantor May 16, 1989 Mrs. Edythe Katz 1273 Park Circle Las Vegas, Nevada 89102 Dear Mrs. Katz, During the past year or so that we have lived in the Reno area, and that I have known Hy Kashenberg, I have heard so much about you, that I almost feel that I know you personally. Oddly enough, my wife and I lived in Las Vegas for some 15 years, and while we operated American Warehousing Incorporated in North Las Vegas, and I was on the Board of Trustees of the Nevada Development Authority, on the Board of the Nevada Taxpayers Association, knew Governor O'Callaghan fairly well, was acquainted with both Mr. and Mrs. Hank Greenspan and many others, our paths never seemed to cross. I understand from Hy that you have made arrangements for Senator Richard Bryan to be the guest speaker at the dinner our Temple is holding for Governor Robert Miller on June 27, at the Peppermill Hotel. Needless to say, we are extremely happy that you were able to arrange this, and we do want to extend our thanks for all of your efforts in our behalf. We hope that you can attend the dinner, and we would be pleased to introduce you, and extend our thanks for all of your work, so that our guests will know how much you did for us. Please let me know that you will be able to attend, and if you would like plane tickets, and a room at the Peppermill, please advise, and they will be taken care of. Again, on behalf of the Temple, Hy Kashenberg and myself, our tremendous appreciation for all you have done. Sincerely, TEMPLE EMANU-EL S.
