The in s ta lla tio n o f 1816* o f 24* wood stave pipe is proposed in lie u o f using 16" wood stave pipe as p ro­vided fo r under APE Request No. 228, approved September 18, 1923, which was not in s ta lle d owing to the d e s ir a b ilit y o f having a la r g e r pipe at the upper end to reduce losses in pressure due to f r i c t i o n . I t is recommended that work contemplated under present au th ority, APE Request No. 228, be m odified to include only new w e ll and fence around Big Spring, rep la cin g b u ild in gs, 300* o f 8" and 2400' o f V.C. pipe from springs, also concrete forebay, which w i l l enable c lo sin g out o f former Work Order and to complete the work as herein contemplated.
