.La* Yegaa * May 13, 1943 ff 1-1-2 Referring to nsy letter April 8th, in eonneotlon with application from ilea era. Clark, cahlan and drant to purchase the remaining acreage we have on Rorth Main Street, that la opposite the bridge ever baa Vega# Creek, having a frontage of 200 feet and a depth of 320 feet. X enclose herewith a treeing allowing the approxl- aate location of the aereage in question and also the proposed extension of First and second street to furnish additional outlets fro® the city through Clark Avenue Underpass to wast Side, as indiaatsd by nap In City Planning Engineer1® offioe. Zf this plan la followed out, and I have reason to bellove It will, you will note they propose to cut a strip directly through *fhc drove* where approximately SO of the train non1 a eahine have been located for a Dunbar of years. The owners of the Siltmore aereage state that about 10 of these cabins are now encroaching on their land In the loeatlon where Mesiiuite street is proposed. As you know, the cabin sites In *The drove* are covered by year to year leases, and all of these expire on June SO, 1943. Zf it is desired to toll this renalning aereage to Messrs. Clark, Cahlan and Orant, X feel that we should now notify the tenants in *The drove* that their present lease will not be extended and that they met make arrangements with the new owners for eabin site lease, or remove their building# from the premises at expiration of present term of lease. 1 an asking Mr. Meiianet with copy of this letter to advise me whether or not we are required to give them thirty days notice, and if such is the aaee we will arrange to furnish such notice on June 1st. Z understand frost our conversation in Conference yesterday that it is daslrable for us to dispose of this remaining acreage.f Z estimate there is approximately 2.39 eeree in this tract; however this can be more accurately computed by measurements recently made by Engineer Pirie and his crew last month. Z recommend the sale of this acreage at the same price we sold the Biltaore acreage to Messrs. Clark, Cahlan and drant, that ia $300 per acre; except that portion embraced in Lease Audit. Me. 6339 to Barry Maek for use as a Mr. Frank Strong!
