nn-wr Desert Inn Hosts Newlyweds The chef supreme at the Disneyland Hotel, Mr. Jack Sullivan, was recently married at the Little Church of the West. Following the ceremony the newlyweds and their friends were hosted for dinner and the "Pzazz! '68" show by the Desert Inn. Mr. Sullivan is also president of the Chefs Association. "Mission Impossible" creator Bruce Geller (right) discusses an upcoming segment of the award-winning television show with director Leonard Horn and his wife Carolyn. Also on the story boards is a future movie in which the top creative team will use Las Vegas as a site. Beautiful former "Miss Sweden" Sivi Aberg of the "Miss Universe" pageant ringsides at the Desert Inn's musical comedy "Tom Jones" with TV executive Mike Hill whose network shows include "Dating Game" and "Operation Entertainment." Doctor Ritter Amsel, seated, a long time visitor to the hotel and an avid golfer, is shown in conversation with Dl casino executive Howard Rambicur at a Sky Room wedding reception for Rambicur's son. Amsel was recently honored with a gold medal from Yale University for his outstanding contributions to medicine. Gil T SHOP Gifts, jewelry, magazines ?╟÷ whatever you need is available at the Dl Gift Shop. Evelyn Higgins, Dorothy Lund and Al Grimenstein are just three of the folks to serve you. Here, they are shown looking at one of the finer gifts that they offer. The gold Tantalive is 200 years old and a genuine registered antique. This collector's item has hand cut, leaded crystal panels around the case with hand etched crystal glasses. Al is the shop manager, who has many years experience in the jewelry and gift business. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, he is a thirty-second degree Mason and a Shriner. Evelyn is the day shift supervisor. Her six children are married except the youngest who has just spent a year in Vietnam. Dorothy, who has considerable experience in the jewelry business, boasts of twelve grandchildren. 72 VMS mm of continuous service at the Desert Inn is represented with these four men. Each started with the hotel when the doors opened eighteen years ago. Helping guests with luggage, show reservations or whatever the situation calls for, Russ Vereen, Jack Butler, Earl Johnson and Clyde Garner (from left) always have a smile and the answer to a problem or request. ?╟≤; i lr HEALTH CLUB The instructors in the Health Club are all professionals and know exactly what a guest needs when he comes to use the modern facilities. The club offers steam room, whirlpool baths, muscle toning equipment and massage. Head instructor is Freddie Schwartz. He was head trainer for the Golden Gloves in Chicago, worked with the Chicago Cubs during spring training and for many years kept the lovely girls of Earl Carroll's Vanities in shape.
