I agree.October 23, 1967 Mrs. E. W* Krampert Midwes t BaUding P.O.Box 1106 Casper, Wyoming Dear Mrs. Krampert: The tournament at the Sands Hotel Is a rubber bridge tournament ?╟≤?╟≤ not duplicate. That is w$*y it was not listed in the Fosum. As you know, rubber bridge is the parent game, and it is a contest of skill ?╟÷ like duplicate bridge, but different. As in any tournament, the entry fee is all you stand to lose: it is just the scoring that is like rubber bridge. last year Tobias Stone and Ivan Erdos divided a first prize of almost $15,000. The winners this year will take home a larger prize since the attendance is already twice as big as in 1966. The tournament begins Oct. 26 (registration) and the first card is played on Friday, Oct. 27 at noon. Entry is $100 per pair; and there is an optional sweepstake of an additional $100 per pair. Tiara is still time to enter if you act very quickly. If not, 1 hope you will keep it in mind for 1968. The tournament at the Sands is the only rubber bridge tournament of the year, and many consider it the best. Sincerely, Alfred She inwold
