Los Angeles - Nov. 28, 1951 4747-11-64 - Case #1214 Mr. Calvin M. Cory - Las Vegas: cc: Mr. W.H. Johnson - Las Vegas In line with our telephone conversation of today in connection with application of the Lae Vegas Land and Water Company for authority to amend certain of its rules and regulations by refusing to extend its mains or make any new connections after a certain cut-off date: As I stated over the telephone, I would appreciate it if you would work up this case looking towards the submission of it to the Nevada Public Service Commission on January 22, 1952, prior to which time I will be out to discuss it with you. I expect to be at the hearing on the date mentioned but believe you will be in a better position to work up the necessary testimony for presentation. Under the circumstances, I am returning herewith the transcript in Case No. 1207. Also enclosed are letters, dated November 27th, which I wrote to Mr. Thomas W. Robinson, Mr. Clyde E. Houston and Mr. C.H. Jameson, which are self-explanatory. I also enclose copy of Second Amendment to Application. I believe you have copies of the original application and the First Amendment. Also enclosed are copies of Snow Surveys and Reports referred to in my letter to Mr. Houston, being *Federal-Etate Cooperative Snow Surveys, Summary for Nevada (1910 through 1948); Federal-State Cooperative Snow Surveys and Irrigation Water Forecasts for Nevada (April 1, 1949); (also one for March 1, 1949); and copies of Snow Surveys and Irrigation Water Forecasts for March 1, 1950, April 1, 1950, March 1, 1951 and April 1, 1951. Mr. Jameson, who is the Well Supervisor in the State Engineer*s Office at Las Vegas and who, when I last talked to him had a room In the basement of the City Hall, is quite familiar with Case No. 1207 and with the nature of the data we would like. I suggest, after you familiarize yourself with the testimony of Messrs. Shamberger, Jameson and Robinson In Case No. 1207, you discuss the matter with him looking toward preparation of his testimony.
