    On motion of Commissioner Corradetti seconded by Commissioner Gilbert it was moved and carried that the City pay to the First National Bank, Las Vegas Branch the sum of $607.00. This to apply on the "Emergency Loan" had from the said bank. Vote Commissioners Gilbert, Krause and Corradetti and His Honor the Mayor voting Aye. Noes, none. On motion of Commissioner Corradetti seconded by Commissioner Gilbert it was moved and carried that Fred Schultz be paid the sum of $949.48. This being the second installment on a judgement allowed Mr. Schultz by the Clark County Court. Vote Commissioners Gilbert, Krause and Corradetti and His Honor the Mayor voting aye. Noes, none. On motion of Commissioner Gilbert seconded by Commissioner Corradetti it was moved and car­ried that the bid of the Home Lumber Co. for the purchase of one hundred sacks of cement be accept­ed. Cement to be delivered in paper sacks and cost of same being 70c per sack. Vote Commissioners Gilbert, Krause and Corradetti and His Honor the Mayor voting aye. Noes, none. On motion of Commissioner Gilbert seconded by Commissioner Krause it was moved and carried that the letter from the Las Vegas Tennis Club asking the Board of Commissioners for permission to operate the tennis courts at the City Park be tabled until the next meeting. Vote Commissioners Gilbert, Krause and Corradetti and His Honor the Mayor voting aye. Noes, none. Mayor Russell appointed Commissioners Corradetti and Ronnow to act as a committee in the pre­paration of an ordinance governing the use of streets in the City of Las Vegas by truckers. On motion of Commissioner Gilbert seconded by Commissioner Krause it was moved and carried that the report of Municipal Judge A.G.Blad, for the month of March be accepted. Fines collected for month $138.00 Vote Commissioners Gilbert, Krause and Corradetti and His Honor the Mayor voting aye. Noes, none. On motion of Commissioner Gilbert seconded by Commissioner Krause it was moved and carried that the Mayor sign and that the City accept the amended price of gasoline from the Richfield Oil Company for the remainder of the year 1940, thus making a saving of several hundred dollars in the price of gasoline for that period of time. Vote Commissioners Gilbert, Krause and Corradetti and His Honor the Mayor voting aye. Noes, none. On motion of Commissioner Gilbert seconded by Commissioner Krause it was moved and carried that the bids opened at this time for the purchase of a "sterilizer" for the milk Inspector be handed to LeRoy Whipple Purchasing Clerk for checking and to refer same to Board at the next meeting. Vote Commissioners Gilbert, Krause and Corradetti and His Honor the Mayor voting aye. Noes, none. On motion of Commissioner Gilbert seconded by Commissioner Krause it was moved and carried that James Stahl, Laura Jeppson and C.C. Underhill be granted retail beverage licenses for the second quarter year and Ethel Rapoport and Peter Pansey sealed package liquor licenses in the sum of $243.75 each. Vote Commissioners Gilbert Krause and Corradetti and His Honor the Mayor voting aye. Noes, none. On motion of Commissioner Gilbert seconded by Commissioner Krause it was moved and carried that the Boulder Club Inc. Northern Club and Mission Casino be granted gaming licenses for the second quarter 1940. Vote Commissioners Gilbert, Krause and Corradetti and His Honor the Mayor voting aye. Noes, none. On motion of Commissioner Corradetti seconded by Commissioner Gilbert it was moved and carried that all slot machine licenses applied for a t this time be granted. Vote Commissioners Gilbert, Krause and Corradetti and His Honor the Mayor voting aye. Noes, none. No further business appearing before the Board at this time on motion of Commissioner Gilbert seconded by Commissioner Krause it was moved and carried that this meeting recess until Tuesday the 16th day of April at the hour of seven thirty P.M. Vote Commissioners Gilbert, Krause and Corradetti and His Honor the Mayor voting aye. Noes, none. There upon said meeting recessed until Tuesday the 16th day of April, 1940 at the hour of seven thirty P.M.
