CALL OF SPECIAL MEETING March 31, 1954 TO: SHIRLEY BALLINGER, City Clerk Las Vegas, Nevada A special meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada is hereby called to be held in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, on the 31st day of March, 1954, at the hour of 4:00 P.M. to consider the following matters: 1. Assessment Districts: a) No. 100-23; b) No. 100-25; c) No. 100-26; d) No. 100-27 2. Hiring of Pershing, Bosworth, Dick and Dawson as bond attorneys for assessment districts. 3. Mr. Vernon Welborn will be present regarding a canopy across the alley behind the Horseshoe Club. 4. Civil Service recommendations on merit increases. 5. Request of U.S.N.R.T.C. for name of Las Vegas Naval unit in memory of a local veteran. 6. Recommendations form City Manager on bids for Tires & Tubes and Batteries. 7. City Managers Reports 8. Thereafter Commissioner Bunker moved this matter be held in abyance. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioners Jarrett and Sharp.
