Mr, E. W, Seckendorff - Page 2 that Subdlvlder will construct said water main at his own expense and which I believe will give you all the Information you need with respect to the requirements of the Water Company covering construction of the water mains on the basis indicated. Subdividers desiring to construct water mains on their own responsibility in advance of formal agreement with the Water Company sometimes prefer to proceed with the construction of their water mains on their own responsibility and without any commitment whatever on the part of the Water Company, in order to expedite the construction of these water mains in advance of the formal agreement, However, no connections can be made to the water mains of this Company until a formal agreement has been executed. The attached Typical Form of Agreement shows our requirements as to width of easements. For your information it is theusua! practice to construct the water mains in streets sixty feet wide at a point approximately fifteen feet from theproperty line and should be on the opposite side of the street from sewer construction. Location of fire hydrants must be secured from the Fire Department, For the purpose of this estimate we have assumed that there will be two fire hydrants installed in future Orangewood Drive and one fire hydrant on each of the three lines extending Westerly from Orangewood Drive, This letter is written at the request of Mr, Frank Strong and is furnished without any commitment whatsoever by the Water Company, since before it will be possible to make such a commitment it will be necessary that we* receive a formal application for the extension of the water mains of the Company, secure the approval of the Las Vegas Valley Water District, and approval of executives of the Water Company, Very truly yours.
