Through the coutresy of the Joint Committee on Conservation, I am having sent to you, direct from Washington, a copy of the Report of the Rational Conservation Commission, together with President Roosevelt’s massage transmitting it to Congress. This is the report of the first inventory of the natural resources of this country, and I feel sure must contain much information of interest to you, especially in view of the recent action of the railroad presidents at Chicago in authorizing the appointment of a conservation committee of the American Railroad Association to cooperate with the Joint Committee.
