Hulsizer 9„9«i*8 - 2 district during its organizational stage including necessary engineering ooata and further to aselet in the operational ex­penses of said district until such taxes are no longer required* The petition to the County Commissioners requesting the fornatlon of the dietriot, states * We petition that said district he created for the following purposes: *(a) To aequirs by lease, purchase, gift or other* wise, the lands, water rights, wslls, water systems, properties, pipe lines, pushing plants, water facilities, and all other properties necessary to the supplying of water for domestic and irrigation purposes to the in­habitants of Las Vegas Valley, as shown by map attached hereto: and to distribute and furnish said water to the Inhabitants of Las Vegas Valley upon such terns and con­ditions as shall, in the opinion of the governing board of the proposed water district, best serve the Interest# of the inhabitants of La# Vegas Valley* * (b) To do any and all things Mentioned end stat­ed in Section 1, Chapter Id? of the Statutes of the State of Nevada. -(c) To do any and all things necessary and prop­er to the accomplishment and advancement of the afore­said purposes......... ” *We petition and represent that the creation of said district and the carrying out of the purposes above specified and necessary and essential to ths health and well being of the Inhabitants of such district, and all property within the boundaries of such district will be benefited by the construc­tion of the proposed improvements and that the proposed Im­provements are feasible and practicable and that all the prop­erty in such district will be benefited thereby In an amount greater than the cost of the proposed Improvements.* ?V# estimated that the probable cost of the organiza­tion of such district Is #2,580*00. * As previously stated, the County Commissioners have approved the petition* October 19 has now been set for the electItm to determine whether the district shall be organized.
