DREW: pipe line at Las Vegas* In connection with making repairs to the / "Fix” should be repaired at this time, jin making these repairs a section of the concretar about 8 inches in width, should be cut away, the p i n t refilled with mortar and the pipe surrounded by a concrete band 6 or 8 inches In thickness. / You should at/once repair the joint which was removed at Station 35. pie joints should first be made with cement grout with a gaivanized iron band andftfter the grouting has set the wlhs^e/section of pipe shduld be encased in concrete. Befor^this section of pipe is placed, you should endeavor to repair the leak about 100 feet below the opening, by sending a man on the inside of the pipe. set at Station 35, the openings further down the line should be restored in the same manner as at Station 35. One opening should be left about midway between Station 35 and zero so as to test from that point. While you are waiting fbr the concrete to AM/CRG
