    M E M O R A N D U M Las Vegas, Nevada April fff 1953 TO: File #» 2>1-105 Mr. Hickey, Sunnyside Addition (phone 6966), called at the office a few days ago requesting that we ins tell service line to 14 homes recently completed on Franklin Street between Bruce and Burnham Avenues, which would be Block 7, lots 1 to 7, and Block 8, lots 1 to ?, both in­clusive. Mr. Hickey stated that until these service lines are Installed, he is unable to construct curbs, gutters and sidewalks, which has resulted in several of the prospective purchasers threatening to demand return of their money. The pipe lines Serving Sunnyside Addition have been completed and the samples of water submitted to the Heqlth Department have been turned down about three or four times. In view of the fact that it has been the policy of the Water Company to refuse the installation of service lines until such time §s the Health Department has spar© ved the use of water £Pom the main, I have withheld permission to install these service lines until such time as the Health Department has approved use of water therefrom* Mr. Hickey and his engineer, Mr. Bronken, called on the Health Department this date and Mr. Saxton, of the Health Department, called me stating that he saw no objection to in­stallation of service lines to serve the 14 homes mentioned above.
