Los Angeles, May 25# 1953 80-11 Mr. W. R* Rouse: Up to the present time we have concluded to make the following minor changes in the proposed agreement with the Las Vegas Valley Water District for the sale of the water system at Las Vegas, Nevada. Some of these changes are the result of conversations with Mr. Bennewltz,and others are changes which have been decided upon locally. If you have any objection to these, I should appreciate prompt advice. 1. Page 2, line 25i page 4, line 24. On the supposition that thecontract will be sighed before the deeds of the water-bearing land from LA&SL to UFRB and from UPRR to LVL&W Comp any are delivered, the words "or previously" will be eliminated. 2. Page 6, line 8. The words "in Charleston Boulevard" changed to read "in and adjoining Charleston Boulevard" because a portion of this line is outside of the street. 3. Page 7, line 7j strike the words "Railroad use" and insert In lieu thereof "the uses". 4. Page 11, line 18; page 12, lines 4 and 11. 3$-c liminate the words "center line" because the legal descriptions are not all center line descriptions. 5. Page 14, lines 20 and 21. The sentence commencing on line 20 is amended to read as follows: Said license and permission shall be effective upon the sale date and shall be subject to the". It is Intended that subparagraph (n) will be self-executing upon the sale date. 6. Page 27» line 22, after the words "Section 5" insert "in accordance with the provisions of said section”. This deals with Mr. Bennewitz' comment on this sentence. It is our intention that the District shall have the right to payment upon disapproved contracts if all of the work provided in Section 5 has been completed in accordance with the provisions of said section and all other contracts have been paid for.
