Sir: In compliance with your request of 24th ultimo, and on recommendation of this office, the Department under date of 8th instant,, has granted authority for you to expend a sum not to exceed $85.35, in the open market purchase of six drums, one hook of instructions, and five music hooks, at the lowest prices obtainable, delivered at your school, hut not to exceed those named in the estimate accompanying your request; payment to he made from Miscellaneous Receipts, Glass 4, now in your hands, being proceeds sale of surplus school pigs.
