Box 1448 Las Vegas, Nevada (CC - Mr, B, L, Adamson Mr, L, B, Maag copies of enclosures to each) Dear Mr, Campbell: I am sending you herewith six statements, three of which re­late to additions, betterments and extensions made to the water faci­lities of the Los Angeles & Salt Lake Railroad Company and three of which relate to additions, betterments and extensions made to the water facilities of the Las Vegas Land and Water Company at Las Vegas during the period, January 1, 1952, to March 31, 1953* * sending you these statements because they deal with work done prior and sub­sequent to September 1, 1952, and furnish you with our ideas of the cost of the work dene in the period stated which is included in the basic purchase price and the cost which we consider would be added to the basic purchase price under the proposed contract for the sale of the water system to the Las Vegas Valley Water District, I understand that Mr, Bennett has already furnished copies of these statements to Messrs, Montgomery and Hamilton, Will you please make such check of these as you deem desir­able and let me know if you agree that the allocation of the cost of the projects shown on these statements has been properly made as be­tween the portion which is to be included in the basic purchase price the portion which is to be added. Tou understand, of course, that with respect to any of these projects which were constructed under so-called "Buie 9 Contracts the District will be entitled to a credit upon the purchase price of the unrefunded amount as of the sale date of the advances made by the sub-dividers under such contracts. 2ncls,
