V1 ' 1 April 5, 1954, attached hereto and by this reference incorporated 2 herein, the following: 3 a* Approximately 670 LF of 8“ cast iron water mains* 4 b* Approximately 655 LF of 6" cast iron water mains* 5 c* Approximately 20 LF of 6" cast iron fire hydrant connections* 6 The cost of constructing said water mains (exclusive of cost of 7 constructing fire hydrant connections) is the agreed sum of 8 #4,660.00* 9 2. Said water mains shall be constructed of 8" and 6“ 10 Class 150 cast iron pipe and shall be in accordance with Federal 11 specifications WWP 421 Type 1* All joints shall be cement* All 12 fittings shall be new, all bell cast iron equal to ASA Standard 13 Class 250* All valves shall be double disk, parallel seat bronze 14 mountings conforming to AWWA standards, not less than 175 lbs*, 15 and all valve boxes shall be of cast iron of appropriate size for 16 each valve* Unless otherwise approved by a duly authorized 17 representative of the Company, all pipe valves and fittings shall 18 be manufactured by the Pacific States Cast Iron Pipe Company or 19 Mueller Company* All pipe lines shall be chlorinated in accordance 20 with AWWA specifications, shall be subject to the approval and 21 acceptance of State and City Health Authorities, and shall be 22 constructed at an elevation to be designated by a duly authorized 23 representative of the Company, but in no event shall there be less 24 than 36" of covering over such water mains* All workmanship, 25 material and installation of said water mains shall be subject to 26 the approval and acceptance of a duly authorized representative of the Company* -2- A-^7
