LAS VEGAS LAND AND WATER COMPANY W. H. COMSTOCK. SECRETARY. Los ANGELES. CAL. W. H. LEETE, TREAS., Los ANGELES, CAL. OFFICES PACIFIC ELECTRIC BUILDING LOS ANGELES. CAL. LAS VEGAS. NEV. F. A. WATERS. AGT.. LOS ANGELES. CAL. W. R BRACKEN. VICE-PRES.&AGT., LAS VEGAS. NEV. Pipe Lines, Las Vegas. Las Vegas, Nev., Aug. 2, 1917 closed slowly, to avoid any Mr. Arthur Maguire, Chief Engineer, Los Angeles, Calif. Dear Sir: This morning, with the Water Service Gang and our re- pair man, we made a test of the new water line. All valves were opened up at this end and the water was slowly turned into the line, and as the same filled up and washed out, the valves were Pressure whatsoever. From quick observation one would almost he of the opinion that the line is beyond repair. From the valve between the warehouses on Main Street to the Jap shanties about 400 feet west of the shop yard fence, there were 53 leaks, ranging from one-quarter inch to two inches in diameter, and we could not allow the water to run longer ran possibly 1 and l/2 hour, as it had flooded under all of the tracks under which the pipe line lasses. I would very much like to have you come out here and rake a personal inspection of his line, at your earliest con- venience, Yours truly, Agent.
