' ........................................t After engineers representing Garrett Bromfield and company, | of Denver, had explained the set- Jup as proposed under a prelimjinary survey, it was voted to have the chamber committee constant the Union Pacific- railroad company to determine whether I that organization would be willing to negotiate for the sale of the Las Vegas Land and Water company distribution system to : the district. If the railroad | company is favorable to such negotiations, then further steps will be taken to accomplish the formation of a water district, under | the new statute passed by the recent legislature, and start nego- S tiations for the local water sys- 1 tern, as well as that now in use j at the Basic Magnesium project. , In presenting the engineers’ \ report to the chamber directors ; Grant said the engineers who jj made the survey had struck at j the root of Las Vegas’ trouble in ) ! respect to water and had offered ' f a solution with regard to domes- !
