SALARY INCREASES Approved CIGARETTE APPLICATIONS New LIQUOR APPLICATION Westside Shopping Center Addition of Name LIQUOR APPLICATION New Economy Ice GAMING APPLICATION New to the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, and that the real pro­perty described therein be, and is hereby accepted, for the purposes and intentions as therein set forth; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be attached to said deed, and that the same be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Clark, State of Nevada, and filed in the records of this Board. The motion was carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Whip­ple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Peccole. An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 508 EN­TITLED: "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 467 ENTITLED: ’AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 36 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, 1949, BY ADDING A NEW SECTION ESTABLISHING AND DESIGNATING CERTAIN STREETS FOR THE USE BY TRUCKS AND COMMERCIAL VEHICLES OF A CERTAIN WEIGHT, MAKING THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE A MISDEMEANOR, AND AMENDING CHAPTER 36, SECTION 41, OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, 1949, FIXING SPEED LIMITS WITHIN THE CITY' AND ADDING A NEW SECTION DEFINING DUTIES OF GARAGE OPERATORS IN CERTAIN INSTANCES, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH’" AND TO AMEND CHAP­TER 36 , SECTION 54, CODE OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, 1949, BY PROVIDING SPEED LIMITS ON STREETS WITHIN THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS; BY PROHIBITING "U" TURNS IN CERTAIN AREAS; PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY REALTED THERETO; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, was read by title and referred to Com­missioners Bunker and Whipple for recommendation. An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION IV OF ORDINANCE NO. 378 REFERRED TO AS SECTION 10, CHAPTER 24 OF THE LAS VEGAS CITY CODE, 1949, BY AMEND­ING THE LAND USE PLAN MAP ADOPTED BY THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, AND CHANGING THE ZONE DESIGNATION OF CERTAIN AREAS ON SAID MAP, having been reported on favorably by Commissioners Jarrett and Whipple was read in full to the Board. Thereafter Commissioner Whipple moved the above entitled Ordinance No. 551 be ad­opted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote: Com­missioners Bunker, Jarrett, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Ab­sent: Commissioner Peccole. Lovoie to the retail beverage liquor license be approved subject to favorable investigation by the Police Department. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Com­missioner Bunker, Jarrett, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Ab­sent: Commissioner Peccole. Levi dba Economy Ice and Oil, 422 West Jefferson for a Retail Beverage license for the second quarter of 1953 be approved subject to favorable investigation by the Police Department. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Com­missioners Bunker, Jarrett, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Peccole. Commissioner Whipple moved the application of J.A. Ewing for license for 7 slot machines at the Greyhound Bus Depot, 110 South Main Street for the 2nd quarter of 1953 be approved.
