The Contractor shall remove and replace so much ofJ the street and highway pavement as may be necessary; 'excavate : trenches and pits to reouired dimensions; excavate bell-holes; construct and maintain all bridges reouired for traffic control; sheet, brace and support the adjoining ground or structures where necessary; handle all drainage or ground x^ater; guard the site; unload, haul and distribute pipe, fittings and accessories which have not already been unloaded, hauled and distributed; lay and test pip®, fittings, valves and accessories; rearrange branch connections to main severs where necessary; rearrange other conduits, ducts, or pipes where necessary; replace all damaged drains, severs, or other structures; chlorinate completed pipe line; backfill trench and pits; restore roadway surfaces; remove surplus excavated material; clean the site of .the work; and perform any other incidental x^ork reouired to provide a completed pipe line. Blocking Pipe The Contractor will not be permitted to support pipe, fittings or valves on blocking either temporarily or otherwise... Paving Permanent repaving over trench cuts shall be replaced by Contractor in accordance with specifications and to the satisfaction of State of Nevada Highway Department and City of Las Vegas. Inspection All pipe and accessories shall be laid, jointed, tested for defects and for leakage with pressure and chlorinated in the manner herein specified in the presence of the Engineer and subject to his approval. Contractor's Responsibility for Materials The Contractor's responsibility for material furnished by the Owner shall begin at the point of delivery by the Manufacturer, or Owner, and upon acceptance of the material by the Contractor. The Contractor shall be responsible for the safe storage of material furnished by or to him, and accepted by him, and intended for the work, until it has been incorporated ip the completed project. 1
