SPECIFICATION NO. 15. CHARLESTON HEIGHTS ELEVATED TANK - ACCEPTANCE OF CONTRACT The following letter from J. M. Montgomery dated October 15, 1956, relative to accept-ance of contract Specification No. 12 was considered by the Board. "Mr. W. C. Renshaw October 15, 1956 Chief Engineer and General Manager - Las Vegas Valley Water District P. 0. Box 1109 Las Vegas, Nevada Subject: Specification No. 15 - Construction of Charleston Heights Elevated Tank - Pittsburgh-Des Moines Steel Company, Contractor Dear Mr. Renshaw: All work under the subject contract was completed as of October 8, 1956. Accordingly, it is recommended that the contract be formally accepted. Since Change Order No. 2 provided for extension of the contract time only to June 21, 1956, it will be necessary to determine whether an extension can be justified covering the balance of the time. A recommendation regarding this matter will be forwarded to you within the next few days. Very truly yours, JAMES M. MONTGOMERY Consulting Engineer /s/ R. C. KENMIR" A motion was duly made by Director Coulthard, seconded by Director Thorn, and unanimously approved by the six Directors present, that contract Specification No. 12 be accepted as recommended by the Engineer. SPECIFICATION NO. 17. MANGANESE PUMPING STATION - ACCEPTANCE OF CONTRACT AND APPROVAL OF CHANGE ORDER NO. 7. EXTENDING CONTRACT TIME The following letter from J. M. Montgomery dated November 1, 1956, relative to acceptance of contract Specification No. 17 was considered by the Board. "Mr. W. C. Renshaw November 1, 1956 Chief Engineer and General Manager Las Vegas Valley Water District P. 0. Box 1109 Las Vegas, Nevada Subject: Specification No. 17 - Construction of Manganese Pumping Station and Miscellaneous Other. Work Dear Mr. Renshaw: All work under the subject contract was completed on October 29, 1956. Accordingly, it is recommended that the District formally accept the work.
