Railroad Company’s Original ^ UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD C O M PAN Y *? m 'f F R A N K S T R O N G M A N A G E R INDUSTRIAL D E V E L O P M E N T ”NnLD 2012 U N I O N P A C I F I C B U I L D I N G 4 2 2 W E S T S I X T H S T R E E T L O S A N G E L E S 14, C A L IF O R N IA January 3, 194^ Nevada Construction Company, 421 West Bonanza Road, Las Yegas, Nevada Gentlemen: Your proposal to furnish all necessary superintendence, labor, tools, equipment and material, except as hereinafter in Paragraph 5 provided, and to perform all work required in the construction of concrete valve boxes and installation of piping, valves, fittings, gauges, etc., together with all appurtenant work necessary to install and provide a complete finished job, all in accordance with Drawing No. 16180, dated November 26, 1947, copy of which is attached hereto and made a part of this the understanding that: contract, is accepted with 1# All work hereunder shall be performed to the complete satisfaction of the Union Pacific Railroad Company, or its authorized representative, and shall be subject to inspection and approval of said representative. 2. Said work shall be performed in the said City of Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada, at the location shown on said Drawing No. 16180, and shall consist of excavating and backfilling, making necessary connections to present water main, installing valves and fittings, gauges, piping, etc., constructing valve boxes and restoring surface of the ground to original condition, subject to the approval and acceptance of the Union Pacific Railroad Company, or its authorized representative. 3. Railroad Company agrees to furnish without cost to you, all necessary pipe, valves, fittings and pipe material, f.o.b. cars Union Pacific Railroad Company's freight yards, or at U.P.R.R. Company's Store, Las Vegas, Nevada, from which point you agree, at your own cost, to load said pipe, valves, fittings and pipe material from said cars or Store and to haul and distribute same to location indicated on plan. 4. In consideration of the completion by you of the work herein described, and fulfillment of all of the covenants and acceptance by said Railroad Company or its representative, the Railroad Company agrees to pay to you for all services performed and materials furnished, including rental of equipment, the sum of One Thousand, Two Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($1,200.00), plus actual cost of - 1
